ABOUT

It all started with a camera in a salmon stream.  When I was 13, my dad took me salmon fishing and, being a bored teenager, I grabbed his camera to explore the area.  I promptly dropped that camera in the stream.  Once it dried out, he made me learn how to use it (I think to underscore why water and cameras don't mix!).  Little did he know he would ignite a lifetime passion!

After years of traveling the world with the US Air Force, I received a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art- Photography in 2008 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In addition to wedding, family, teen and tween, and event photography, I currently serve as Vice President of the Pierce County Professional Photographers Association.  I've also taught digital and darkroom phptpgraphy Tacoma Community College, Open Arts Studio, and Hickam Art Center.  Past clients include Interweave Press, Cooperative Press, Harrington Publishing, Globe Pequot Press, Planned Prenthood of Hawaii, Temple Beth-El (Tacoma), and the Tacoma Rainbow Center, as well as families and couples across the nation.
